After more than a decade of building Mighty Doodle®, we are beginning a new chapter.

Mighty Doodle® will officially shut down on May 31, 2026.

From the very beginning, Mighty Doodle® was created with a simple and unwavering belief: ALL children can learn to read, write, and spell when taught in ways that honor how they learn.

What began as a deeply personal mission grew into a platform used by children, families, educators, and schools who believed, as we do, that the right instruction can change a child’s life.

As part of this next chapter, we are making the decision to open source the Mighty Doodle® platform, including our structured literacy scope and sequence and the digital learning framework designed to bring reading, writing, and spelling to life through multisensory, interactive learning.

This decision is not a departure from our mission. It is a continuation of it.

We have always believed this work should reach as many children as possible, across homes, classrooms, communities, and countries. Open sourcing Mighty Doodle® allows educators, families, developers, researchers, and organizations to continue building on this work and carrying it forward.

To every child, parent, educator, supporter, partner and exceptional team member who has been part of this journey: THANK YOU! Your belief in children and in this mission has meant more than words can express.
